Kara Payne is the visionary behind The EnLIGHTened First Lady — a transformational communicator, prayer warrior, and faith-driven leader dedicated to helping women step into their divine power. Known for her radiant spirit and unwavering belief in God and community, Kara has built a platform that uplifts and equips women to lead lives of confidence, and calling.
 
Kara is the proud wife of the Reverend Marcus R. Payne, Pastor of Saint Paul AME Church in the Chaires Community. Together, they are raising two children, including their 1-year-old daughter, Kobi, and are doting parents to their English Bulldog, Major Payne. With a heart for service, Kara actively gives back to her community through various leadership roles.
 

Through EnLIGHTened First Lady, Kara brings her experience as a millennial pastor’s wife and working mom to her blog, sharing candid insights and inspiration for women balancing faith, family, and their own leadership journeys. Whether speaking at events, coordinating community programs, or mentoring others, Kara strives to create spaces where women feel supported, empowered, and enlightened.
